This building, for many years, was the residence of the Smith family as well as a general store. The store sold all staple goods and dry, in the early days even selling flour and sugar by the barrel and trading all kinds of farm produce. For a short time, Will and Harry Baxter sold crafts under the name of "Crafty Fingers."
